Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy a licence for Spokn from Spokn Labs (“we”, “us”). Using the software is also covered by the licence agreement.

What you buy

A Spokn licence lets one person use Spokn for Mac on up to 2 Macs at a time. It includes every version we release within one year of purchase (“updates”). You may keep using any version released during that year for as long as you like. Clinic licences may cover more people or Macs, as stated on the invoice or licence.

Trial

Spokn can be used free for 7 days with every feature. When the trial ends, dictation pauses until a licence key is entered.

Price and payment

Prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout, with applicable taxes. Payments may be processed by a payment partner acting as reseller, whose terms also apply to the payment. Your licence key is sent by email after payment.

Renewing updates

After the first year you may renew updates for another year at the renewal price. Renewing is optional; without it, your existing versions keep working. A renewal bought early starts when your current year ends.

Activation

Each Mac is activated once over the internet and checks in about once a month. You can move a licence between Macs by deactivating one first. We may switch off licences that are shared publicly, resold without permission, or bought fraudulently.

No refunds

Spokn has a free trial so you can try it before buying, and all sales are final. See our sales policy.

Not a medical device

Spokn is a general dictation tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not intended for diagnosis or treatment. Speech recognition can make mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting all text before it is used in a patient record.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising from your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the licence, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including errors in reports. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Contact us first with any dispute; we will try to resolve it quickly.
